More 'Anti Lockdown' gatherings planned in UK this weekend

Updated: May 29, 2020

Mass gatherings are once again planned this weekend across the UK in an attempt to protest against the lockdown.

It comes on the back of similar gatherings on the 16th of May, which were held by the "UK Freedom Movement." A poster has been circulating on Facebook and encourages people to once again meet in Hyde Park to defy the lockdown.

The poster states "All faith has been lost in our government. It is quite clear that it is one rule for them and one for us."

This could well have been sparked by the recent actions of Dominic Cummings, who came under extreme scrutiny for allegedly defying the lockdown rules.

Frustration with the current lockdown is clearly high as there seems to be much support for this event on social media. Attendance of the gathering on the 16th May was heavily downplayed by the media. It was clear from the many accounts and video footage that these events were well attended. Clearly this sort of defiance it to be expected until the lockdown is finally lifted and It remains to be seen if this will have the impact it's creators are craving for.

Support where you can!

Being a musician during this time really does suck! All you can do is try to keep writing and releasing new material. I really appreciate your support during this difficult time. So if you could take 2 minutes to check out my latest single, it would go a long way to help!
